Designing for a wider universe

A digital experience becomes stronger when its parts share a clear direction.

Start with the relationship.

A brand, a website and a product are often planned as separate projects. Visitors experience the connections between them. The language used in a campaign sets an expectation; the website needs to fulfil it; the product needs to make it useful.

Before adding another feature or visual layer, it helps to map the journey between these moments. Where does a person arrive? What do they understand? What decision should feel natural next?

Make the system tangible.

A small set of well-chosen screens can reveal more than a long description. Put the important moments next to one another and examine the shared language, the changes in emphasis and the missing information.

Leave room for new worlds.

A coherent system does not require every page to look identical. Shared foundations create room for variety. Typography, spacing and interaction can establish continuity while imagery and composition give each story its own character.
